How to Drive Smart Knob Rotary Encoder Display?
The video take VIEWE intelligent knob of the 2.1-inch screen with esp32S3 as example to show driving the rotary encoder and button functions of the knob, as well as driving the 2.1-inch TFT screen and constructing an LVGL user interface (UI) on this basis to achieve the interaction between the rotary encoder and the UI. The entire project is on ARDUINO. 💯
✨ Highlights:
👉 Knob Driving: The knob requires two parts of driving. One is the rotary encoder, which can rotate left and right to input parameters to the knob screen. The other is the button function, which is similar to an ordinary button. The MDR encoder library is used to drive the rotary encoder. By defining several pins for initialization, the state of the rotary encoder can be read to determine left or right rotation for screen switching. The button state is judged by reading a low or high level through digitalRead for state switching.
👉 Screen Driving: The driving IC of the 2.1-inch screen is GC9503V of IIC and adopts the RGB form. It is driven by the gfx for arduino library. By defining the pins of SPI and RGB and some operation parameters, especially setting the correct initialization parameters to drive the screen.
